TRNC Minister of Public Works and Transportation Tolga ATAKAN and his delegation made a series of contacts at Istanbul Technical University Ayazağa Campus.

 

Minister Tolga ATAKAN visited ITU Vodafone Future Lab which was established with the collaboration of Istanbul Technical University and Vodafone Turkey. During the visit accompanied by ITU-TRNC Education Research Campuses Rector Prof. Dr. Ercan KAHYA and Vodafone Telsim General Director Cenk ALPER, Vodafone Turkey Executive Vice President Hasan SÜEL gave detailed information on the latest developments in communication and meteorology as well as transportation and energy solutions. Minister Atakan who was interested in particular with solutions offered in the fields of transportation, energy, communication and meteorology, congratulated Vodafone Turkey and ITU officials.

 

Undersecretary Kemal BAĞZIBAĞLI, Private Secretary Ramadan BERSUN, TRNC İstanbul Consul General Seniha BİRAND, Consul KALFAOĞLU, ITU-TRNC Advisor to the Rector Metin DURAL, ITU Institute of Informatics Director Prof. Dr. Lütfiye Durak ATA, ITU Corporate Communications Office Coordinator Doç. Dr. Gülname TURAN, ITU Teknokent DMA CEO Önder YOL, Vodafone Telsim Deputy General Director Fevzi TANPINAR and Head of Products and Solutions Berna KULAKSIZ accompanied Minister ATAKAN during his visit on October 17, 2019.

 

After the visit to ITU Vodafone Future Lab, the delegation visited ITU Rectorate and were welcomed by ITU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali FUAT. After the lunch held at the Rectorate of ITU, the delegation visited İTÜ Aurospace Research Center and DMA (Derindere Motorlu Araçlar) İTÜ Ar-Ge Center within İTU Arı Teknokent. During the DMA visit, Minister Atakan did a test drive with an electronic portable vehicle.
