ITU-TRNC has been included in the Turkey Academic and Scientific Cooperation Project (TABIP), which is being carried out by the Yunus Emre Institute under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey.
The protocol was signed between the Rector of ITU-TRNC Prof. Dr. Ercan KAHYA and President Advisor of Yunus Emre Institute Tayfun KALKAN on October 3, 2019 upon the inclusion of ITU-TRNC in the TABIP, which aims to introduce and increase Turkey’s activities, academic and scientific cooperation and international recognition in the academic field.
It is planned to assign human resources, share technical infrastructure, conduct joint projects, exchange information and data, develop institutional capacities and similar collaborations between the parties within the framework of the activities of TABIP and "science diplomacy".
Within the framework of the protocol, ITU-TRNC will conduct joint projects, trainings, seminars, conferences, activities, and programs in Turkey and abroad with the cooperation of Yunus Emre Institute. Innovation, research and development activities supported by TABIP or carried out by TABIP's partner organizations will be supported by ITU-TRNC’s techno park, incubation center, and an innovation center in order to ensure the realization of the developed scientific projects with the real sector.
