ITU-TRNC Famagusta Campus completed Robotic Programming Summer School in the at the Department of Foreign Languages between 8 July and 12 July, 2019.
13 participants between the ages of 9 and 13 received their education by the instructor Barış KENT, whose expertise and experience in the ITU Science Center is over 15 years.
Within the responsibility and leadership of Eda CAN DOĞANBAY, who is the Director of Institutional Relations and Communication at ITU-TRNC, the participants attended classes and learnt the applications of Scratch and Mblock and eventually addressed commands to robots through programming and coding.
Within the scope of the project, the students were taken to a field trip to Eastern Mediterranean University where they visited the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Electric and Electronic Engineering. There, they observed various projects such as electric cars, projects of robots, under water robots and other laboratories. After the trip, the participants enrolled in a performance game in a VR Arena.
At the end of the education, a ceremony was held and the certificates were given to the students by the instructor Barış KENT. ITU-TRNC Summer School plans to continue diverse education programs in September.
