Nicosia Turkish Municipality implemented a “Wear Your Socks and Come” trekking event in accordance with the World Down Syndrome Day on March 21, 2017.

 

The contributors wore a variety of colorful socks to raise awareness to Down syndrome and to give a message saying nothing could prevent real love. Our students participated in the event, supported the event to raise awareness and represented our university with the banners they prepared.

 

The event started at the traffic lights in Dereboyu around 19.00 and ended with Sinan Güzen’s short music concert.
