Istanbul Technical University 2017-2018 Academic Year started with a ceremony on September 8th, 2017 on Friday at Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center of ITU Ayazağa Campus. Republic of Turkey Forestry and Water Affairs Minister Veysel EROĞLU, ITU Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet KARACA, ITU-TRNC Education and Research Campuses Rector Prof. Dr. Ercan KAHYA, ITU-TRNC Secretary General Dursun KOÇ, university administration and academicians attended the ceremony.

 

The ceremony started with a concert performed by the ITU National Turkish Music Conservatory. ITU academicians who are among the “100 Turks to influence Science” received plaques.

 

ITU Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet KARACA made the opening speech of the ceremony and stated that ITU is one of the most important institues of Turkey and emphasised that it is the university of the firsts and the bests.During his speech, the Republic of Turkey Forestry and Water Affairs Minister Veysel EROĞLU mentioned that they are ready for any cooperation with ITU.
