Graduation Caps in the Air at ITU!

With 244 years of history, Istanbul Technical University is proud of graduating its 3 thousand students.

 

The 2016-2017 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held at ITU Stadium on Frıday July 7th, 2017. In this important and emotional day, the academicians and the families shared the happiness of the graduates. At the graduation ceremony there were students from ITU North Cyprus among 3 thousand graduates. A movie screening was held during the graduation showing the moments of the graduates during their studies and their success and awards in science and sport competitions.

 

During the opening of the ceremony, ITU Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet KARACA made a speech and said: “As the first technical university of Turkey, we have a rooted institution. We have been educatıng the best engineers, architects, designers, businessmen, artists and scientists for 244 years. ITU graduates have a big mission in the construction of Turkey and this will continue. I wish success to everyone for the rest of their lives.”

 

1987 ITU Computer Engineering Graduate and TUSIAD Boards Director Erol BİLECİK made a speech in behalf of the graduates. BİLECİK said: “Your ITU diplomas will create advantages for all of you. ITU graduates network with over 100,000 people and this will be the biggest support in your career.”

 

The graduates who have received their graduation certificates greeted the tribunes. Having 244 years of history, 244 students worked as volunteers during the graduation of ITU. The graduation ceremony ended by the graduation oath and by throwing the graduation caps in the air.

 

We wish a happy and successful future to our graduates.
